My thought would be the wnner of each category would win 1 bottle of rub (or whatever) and the remaining to the overall winner.

I think a little more than just *a* bottle for the catagory winners. Maybe 2-3 bottles each, if we have that available. MVP deserves the lion's share.

1st of over all gets main ( 3 bottles)
2nd (runner up) gets some (2 bottles)
3rd gets a little less.(1 bottle)

I say the winner of each category gets a little something such as a bottle or two of rub or sauce and the bulk of the prizes going to the MVP.

I like the idea of a MVP I thought the runoff we had was additional fun. And the MVP ought to get the best/most but category winners should share the wealth maybe get a couple of items. In the last one I was a finalist in two categories and got lucky for the MVP and this could easily happen again where a single person would be in line for the lions share. I would prefer that somehow the wealth and recognition be spread around a little more.
