Good Morning Everyone!
Good morning everyone, new guy here from just outside of Boston. I'm currently cooking on a PBC, have been cooking barbecue for a long time now, but really got the bug again after a trip to Austin and eating at The Salt Lick. I cook up the usual stuff like pulled pork, brisket, and ribs but also make my own jerky as well. I've attached some pics of a couple things I made over the weekend.

Re: Good Morning Everyone!
The brisket and pulled pork were roughly 8 hours hours of peach wood smoke, then foiled the pork with some local home made root beer. The brisket was a little longer on the smoke but foil wrapped with a touch of beef consomme. The ribs were 3.5 hour with pecan smoke and finish with a spicy honey glaze and a little apple wood smoke after the glaze. The jerky was a sticky sweet honey sriracha, and dried for close to 10 hours. All in all in was a good weekend bbq bender at my house. Yes I do plan post pics and often, I'm looking forward to more meat this weekend.

Welcome aboard… The Salt Lick was my first eye popping BBQ experience as well. Wait till you move on to some of the joints like Franklin, JMM, Louie Mueller etc…mind blown :)

Re: Good Morning Everyone!
I could have sworn I posted a reply to answer the what kind of wood I used question? Well in case I didn't, I used peach wood for the brisket and pulled pork, then I foiled them for a bit the pork got a local root beer bath while the brisket was in a beef consomme bath. For the ribs it was a little pecan wood, then a spicy honey glaze followed up with a touch of apple wood before letting them rest a bit. The jerky was just a spicy honey and sriracha mix, came out nice and sticky with a good kick to it. I will be posting with pics often as I tend to make some bbq pretty much every weekend.
