New Johnson Smoker

Postby woodchuck » Wed Apr 29, 2015 8:50 am

Picked up my first stick burner on Friday from Chad Johnson in Ennis. Maiden voyage was on Sunday with ribs and chicken. Pleased with the first try but can get much better once I get it dialed in.

Looks good. I hope to take a trip down in a couple of weeks & see what Johnson Smokers look like up close.

How do you like your Johnson smoker a year later? I've been looking at his equipment, and they look good.

Looks great. I am about to order a similar one from chad called the ultimate tailgater. Have to arrange to get it all the way back to Australia though. Does yours have the gas option as well?

This post was first set up April 29 2015 and by the looks of the logo, Maybe Mr. Woodchuck left the building with Tony Romo

I can add that I wound up putting a smoker upgrade on hold since my comments in this thread but I have seen a Johnson pit in action and exchanged emails with Chad. They are quality pits and he is very responsive to questions.
