Welcome to the forum spg. Your cooker is looking great very nice work. :D
Did you paint the inside of the cook chamber? If so I would suggest you have it blasted clean and season the inside with oil.

No I didn't paint the inside, I burnt some pecan in the cooking chamber then cleaned the ashes out and lit the fire box with uncut cracklins (one 2x3 slab on each side) in the cooking chamber for 8hrs just to get some grease inside before rust set in. After I get everything done I'm going to get it hot and powerwash the inside then do the final cure.

KAM, no worries. I just painted the fire box to keep it from rusting and a few other spots that were getting bad to save me from grinding it off later. Think I'm going to sand blast the outside to prep for paint, don't know if a wire wheel will get off that old paint.
