Looking for a long bone rib roast in Houston area.

Postby 56Jeff » Wed Sep 09, 2015 9:08 pm

I'm looking to cook a few Tomahawk Steaks. Where can I get a Side of Beef in the Houston area? Or just a Long Bone Rib Roast?

Thanks

Any "real" butcher shop should be able to assist. Stay away from grocery stores.... :thap:
20" x 40" Party Gator Pit
Custom Mobile Stick Burner
Summerset TRL 32" Built-In Grill
Weber Q2200
48" Custom Firepit
Bertello Pizza Oven

I can't always please everybody. I'm not bacon.

let me know where you end up going. i'm also in Houston and wouldn't mind finding a good butcher shop if that's where you end up.

If you're on the West side of town, you might consider a mini-road trip to Bellville. It's been a few years but I used to drive 90 miles to http://www.bellvillemeatmarket.com/ just because of the quality. I would always swing south, an hour out of the way, and drop my Deer off to be processed - - - - money and time well spend back then. However, that was a ?few? years ago so hopefully they are still as top notch as before.

I asked my Houston cousin where she goes for meat, and she said B&W was the best, FWIW. http://www.bwmeatcompany.com/products.html
