I actually plan on ordering a slightly modified one today. It seems like the perfect mobile rig for my needs.

Kinda what I'm thinking. Price is petty good. Not too big to put in the backyard. Have they told you a lead time yet?

Mind if I ask what mods you are doing?

We are ordering today. We decided not to change any dimensions as it would not make a huge cooking surface difference unless we went much longer. We really want to keep the trailer compact for multiple reasons. We plan on double towing it behind our travel trailer and/or having the ability to hook it to the golf cart and pull both onto a flat bed and take around tailgates and such. We are having the trailer painted Baylor green and have some custom logo work being done. Chads design is as well thought out and put together as any others I have seen. He did not push any upgrades or opinions and in fact told us to take a couple of days to think over the pit and make sure it was exactly what we wanted. I would strongly suggest calling him as he can explain some of the unique features and design that can't be seen in just pictures. I will update with any new info that I get along the way. Btw...Sic'em Bears (assuming your an OU guy)

This is my third attempt at a response. Keep getting errors.

Congrats on the pit & share pics. I hope to talk to chad real soon.

I'll leave you alone on the Baylor stuff. They've had a good run, enjoy it :)

I may be a little late on this response, but here it goes. I've had the compact patio model for about 2-3 years now. It is a good cooker and I have made some fantastic BBQ on it. I can send you some pics, or if you are in the Grand Prairie area you're welcome to come by and take a look at it.

I will actually be putting it up for sale in the next week or two. I decided I need a bigger pit and am waiting on my new one to be completed.

Let me know if you would like pics and I can send you some.

Jesse - I'd love to see the pics. Could you please email them to me?

Is Johnson doing your new pit as well?

Thanks for the response.

Sorry for the delay. I am traveling for work this week and will not get to send you pics until I get back. Will see if I have anything on my phone I can send in the mean time.

For the new pit I chose Lone Star Grillz. I wanted a bigger pit with an insulated firebox and after taking a trip to see Chris I made up my mind to go with them.

I'll send you some pics when I get back home later in the week.

Not a problem. I'm just in the information gathering phase. Lone Star is also on the list.

Thanks,
Bryan

Bryan

Did you ever get a chance to look at one - I have a Compact Ultimate Patio - had it for about 2 years - great pit. Let me know if you would like to see some photos or stop by to see it. Generally have it fired up each weekend.

I still have not seen one. Would really like to see some photos. Even better if I could see one in person.
