I have a double jet ski trailer that will hold 1200 pounds. Jet Ski is at the lake house now.
I got for christmas a bbq pit/smoker and i'm trying to figure out how I should go about welding this to my trailer.
If possible, my goal was to add a sliding cutting board, small sink, and a small gas flat top. Making a great tailgater for High School/College football.
The BBQ Pit/ Smoker I got weights 580lbs. So my question here is where would you mount this pit at?
Thanks very much!

I would set the cooker where the firebox is just behind the tires.
Then weigh the tongue with a bathroom scale to see where your at.
Your going to want about 10% to 15% of the gross weight on your tongue.
I hope this helps.

It does. Do you think the weight will be okay on just one side of the trailer while I have the flat top and a few other things on the other side of the trailer?

It does what?
The cooker will sit nicely if you have at least a 2000 lb axle.

Re: need ideas for pit trailer
Well I was planning on having my trailer built by now but after relocating for work and having a baby, time doesn't come by very easy.
I'm now located in Fort Worth and I need to find someone that can weld this to the trailer and help install a few options such as a sliding cutting board and a box for wood.
Thanks!
