Mosquito Festival Results 7/26

Postby jtilk » Sun Jul 27, 2014 1:33 pm

Cooked the annual Mosquito Festival in Clute this wkend... You wanna talk about a hot event. If you werent on the pavement dealing with the radiating heat, you were under the trees swamped by the busted pipeline. The event this year consisted of 66 teams and I only managed a 6th place rib call... the bright side was that ribs had been my achillies heal as of late and I some how mustered up a call.

Allen of Son's of BBQ pulled a 3rd place rib call, but that chicken and brisket was on point... still scratching my head over this one for you.

... and finally a big congrats to Wade Whitlow on his 30th B'day and cookoff debut by pulling a 1st rib and 1st brisket call for GC.

Allen- I think we have created a monster with this guy. :laughing7:
