ABC Cookoff Results 3/21-22
We participated in a local cookoff we do pretty much every year... non-sanctioned and nothing overly large, it was limited to 33 teams this year as it was moved to a new location with limited space. All in all had a great weekend cooking next to Sons of BBQ and just making a wkend of it. Triple D Cookers (us) ended up taking 1st place chicken and 3rd brisket, while Sons of BBQ landed 2nd chicken and 2nd brisket... we tied in points for the GC but ended up losing it via tie breaker on brisket. Congrats to Sons of BBQ on their GC!!

Congrats on your walks! A 3rd place brisket could be first any day of the week. Don't change a thing

Thanks fellas... This is one of about 2 or 3 I do all year that are non-sanctioned... for whatever reason they only called top 3 in every category. Seems to have dwindled over the past 3 years from top 10 to 5 to now 3... Prolly my last year to do this one if I was a betting man.

Yeah we probably wont be back either. Only calling the top 3 was bull. But overall its always a fun weekend cooking next to your buds maybe next year we'll just find a different venue.
