I saw a resurrection of this thread, and it got me to thinking, like one of those songs you heard and then can't get out of your head. Got my brain spinning on its crooked axis again.

Galway Goat Grillers. The Cork Pork Cookers. The Flaming Clydes (use with caution, might work well in San Francisco but limited applications in more traditional cultural areas). The Quiet Grilling Men. The Tullamore Skewers. The Saucers of Sligo.

But after some further thought, I think I really have it for you:

The Toasted Leprechauns. It won't give the kids nightmares like Flaming Leprechauns, and it is decidedly Irish in multiple ways.

I think this is just another illustration of all of us having too much time on our hands.

Digging this thread back up. I was doing some research and this was really helpful.

However, there was on question I didn't see answered and thought maybe you guys could help.

How do you make sure you aren't taking someone else's team name and vice versa? Or is it just something that happens and it's hard to avoid?
