New build- 2 smoker trailers

Postby bbqbuilder » Mon Mar 03, 2014 12:18 pm

20 smoker 2.JPG
I'm new here, I hope these images are big enough to see. This is our newest project, 2 smoker trailers. One will have a charcoal grill and high pressure burner with the 2nd trailer we're not sure yet. Most of what we build is the offset smoker with reverse flow design.

heck yeah! good luck on the build. If you finish them and are still uncertain about the second one,..... I'll take it. (I'm just a regular problem solver)

These will be quite a bit smaller. The on one ebay is 30" x 3/8 thick pipe and 6' long with a 24' x 24" fire box. These 2 are 20" x 1/4" thick pipe and 4' long and 24" fire box made from the same 20" pipe. These are the size of a back your smoker. I'll post more pics soon!

Trailer frames are finished, built from 3" x 2" x 1/4" angle iron, 7K jacks welded on, it's overkill but it has the drop down leg and it's super heavy duty and will last forever. 20" x 48" x 1/4" thick pipe mounted and doors are cut.

Big day today, got the doors trimmed out, the tracks for the baffles and shelves, tongue burners and charcoal grills fabricated. Hoping for another big day tomorrow. Maybe paint on Saturday

Didn't get as much done today as I wanted to. Pretty much focused on just one smoker today. I think this trailer will be a smoker only, no charcoal grill and no burner. What do you guys think would be a good price for this? 48" smoking chamber, 20" new pipe 1/4" thick, 24" fire box, 3500 lb axel, 15" tires, tons of storage, fenders and lights.

If u put a good size dry storage box on it it should sell easy for 3 grand. But I would go ahead and throw tht grill on there too and throw a $4000 price tag on it. Thts just me

We usually use this size of grill with our 30"x72" smokers, when I put the grill on the trailer it looked too big :banghead:

Added the shelf on the fire box Friday, great for sides or heating water. Welded up the firebox and framed the racks yesterday. Decided to go with a 4" square smoke stack.
I hope to be finished with it tomorrow, I'm trying not to put too much time in extras or details because I'm building it to sell but I'm sort of that way. When I sell it, I want it perfect.
