For the bacon, it was basicly the ambient temperture outside. In the day time with the sun on it I think it may have hit 100 to 105. Nights it got in the 40's. The tube A-Maze really doesn't put out much heat. When I would reload it, I'd pick it up with my bare hands.

Got about half of one slab sliced, and just couldn't stand it. Had to cook some. And yes it was worth the wait. The maple gave it some sweet, and the chipotle gave it some bite.
