9th Annual Wharton Masonic Lodge BBQ Cookoff

Postby jtilk » Sat Dec 28, 2013 9:36 pm

Just wondering if any of you guys on here are planning on attending the 9th Annual Wharton Masonic Oak Lodge Cookoff?
Takes place Jan 31- Feb 1st, entry it $150 with $20 going into the jackpot categories of beans and chili each.
IBCA Sanctioned
$2500 in payout with calcutta as well
I believe it's limited to the first 35 teams but makes a good little cookoff. Would love to meet some of you guys in person if anyone is planning on making the haul.

Triple D Cookers, Sons of BBQ and Pappa Charlies will all be there if things go as expected. Stop by and have a beer if you'd like.

How do you know you'll be judging the finals of these two? Also, why would you drive 70 miles to judge a comp?

DONT WORRY ABOUT WHAT I DO BOY! So I know what people like you will be turning in so I know the flavors of the area, what to cook and how to make it better. We will be cooking that comp next year.

I'm not too concerned about how you get there or even why you're showing cause it'll be the next lunar eclipse before I see anyone thats there again, just look for 'Triple D' and have a beer for God's sake. :laughing7:
