Finally a BBQ joint in my area I can recommend without reservation.
Went to Clint's for lunch Saturday and we had:
Rib tips
Ribs (spares) (perfect for restaurant closer to fall-off than comp-cling, moist)
Brisket (as good as any I've had in a restaurant)
Sausage (beats Smitty's, Kreutz, Blacks made in house)
Pulled Pork
Cole slaw (different but good nice hint of cilantro and not sweet)
Beans (pintos mild tasty)
Onion rings (ya gotta try these)
Everything we had was homemade, fresh, tasty and well prepared. Met Clint he is a ol comp guy/pit builder that always wanted to have his own place and if he keeps this up you'll be hearing more about him. There are several successful BBQ joints around and he's got them all beat.

BTW there is another reason to go to Aubrey and that's Mom's on Main. It is comfort food and exceptional it has been rated in the Texas top 40 by Texas Monthly and deserves the ranking.

This I gotta try. We stable Ol' Tunder and the Swedish War Horse over at Winterhaven Farm just down the road from downtown, so I think weekend trip is in order. Saying the sausage is better than Black's is saying something. Gotta have some.
Thing I like about Mom's is the food is good but the portions are really big too. Try the roast beef sandy with gravy.

Figures that 6 years after I move out of Aubrey they get a decent BBQ place. Used to trek up to Clark's Outpost before it started going downhill.
Good to see that Lucy's/Mom's has made it back to the location on Main. Did they re-open the location in Celina too?

Yep. Clint makes a tasty brisket. Also builds some nice bbq pits too!

Made a visit over the weekend. Loved the brisket but forgot to order the sausage.

Had dinner at Clint's again last night and I'm still impressed. Good stuff there I had brisket, ribs, smoked cabbage and pintos all excellent.
Peach cobbler looked really good but I was too full.

Stopped by Clint's yesterday and got a to go order of 2lbs brisket and 1lb sausage. I got the mild sausage (as requested by my 10 year old). The sausage is outstanding. The brisket was great--smokey with nice bark--it suffered a bit from the 45 minute drive home.

Re: Clint's BBQ, Aubrey TX
Well the wife and I went to Clints again yesterday but this time to check out grub other than BBQ and WOW!
I'm going to sound too enthusiastic like Clint is my BIL or something but not the case he's just got it together.
I ordered the catfish special and the wife ordered the small CFS fries, beans and a order of onion rings.
Everything was outstanding! The best catfish I've had period and the CFS was the biggest "little" CFS I've seen.
I need to take a camera so y'all can see this stuff. Everything is made in house even the tartar sauce.
We went there at 3:30 so pretty much had the place to ourselves but when I see the parking lot at mealtimes the word is getting out.
Catfish special was $6.95
CFS (small) was $8.95
Onion rings $2.95
