Memorial Day is May 28th this year and marks the "official" opening of BBQ season.
Timeline: I'll provide the secret phrase to write on the back of any business card that must be in the picture on (or) before May 18th and I'll accept entries on May 29th and May 30th. This will give every one two weekends to fire up the smokers and/or grills Semi-finals will be on May 31st with the winner of each category going head to head in the final on June 1st. Each poll will be up for 24 hrs. MVP announced on June 2nd.
Rules: It would be a good idea to read over the General Ordinances again. They can be found here: viewtopic.php?f=26&t=1338" target="_blank
We'll have all four categories this time around but with a twist. Besides the business card (with secret phrase), your cooker or a portion of your cooker must be in the photo. The pit/grill/smoker/gasser/pelletmuncher/flowerpot/UDS/ECB can be in the background with the entry in the foreground or the entry can be inside the pit. You could even have the entry sitting on top of the firebox with the rest of the pit hidden. Use your imagination Just have something resembling if not a whole cooker, a reasonable part of one to verifiy you didn't make you entry in an easy bake oven.
I'll post an email address for folks to send their entries to on the 29th of May.
Those who are new and don't know what a Throw Down is, take a look at past Thrown Down Threads and of course the MVP Hall of Fame.
Best of luck to everone

Limey said he was going to sit this one out. I think he's just trying to give everybody else a chance.
