The Texas BBQ Forum, now a registerd Service Mark
Growing pains folks, 'ole Gator ponied up and registered our name, fair and square with the Trade Mark and Patent Office (AKA the Federal Government) - just so some fancy pants dont try to steal our name.
We are now officially registered.

Getting on now.
First off ya gots to remember your history. Texas was a sovereign nation that feared that the Mexicans were going to invade and take over. This is back when BW was knee high to a grasshopper. The Texans, hats in hand, asked us Northerners (thats Yankee in BW speek) to bail their sorry butts out of the pickle they were in.
The Northerner's said, what's in for us. The Texans, not wanting to be Mexicans, said we'll become Yankees if you save our behinds. We agreed and that's the way it is, Thursday Aug 9, 2007. Thus endth the lessen.
Least that's what they taught us in public school in Minnesota in the 60s. Getting off the now.
Back on topic. Sorry, I forgot what the topic was.
Yeah, we're all branded now. No one can steel our name or cows.

Ya'll make me laugh so much!
I don't know much about history, or much of anything else, but I know that I don't care what color you are, what gender you are, or anything else, as long as you pay your own way! White, black, asian, purple polka dots, I don't care!
I have many friends here, and that's all that matters!

Funny, that story wasnt in our Texas history books...nor was it told to me my my forefathers who were in the first settlemet in Texas. I dont recall any Yankee's down here bailing us out at the Alamo? And I dont think Sam Houston or Stephen F Austin (both who helped establish Texas) would recall that story either. All I remember Texans kicking serious Spanish and Native American arse!

The Battle of the Alamo was in 1833, where a whole bunch of Yankees including Davy Crockett gave the ultimate sacrifice.
Texas joined the Union in 1844 under President Polk*.
Now, before I get lynched here....... I like Texas. It's where Willey's from. It's where Dub's from , and it's where a whole bunch of my clients are from
*Hence the phrase a pig in the polk.

If you've ever driven across Texas, you know how different one area of the state can be from another. Take El Paso. It looks as much like Dallas as I look like Jack Nicklaus
