The exhaust works I have the same size on a smoker that is just a little bigger. If you adjust the draw on the door and the damper on the stack it will keep a constant temp easy.

Building two 20" smokers

Those look sharp!!! Are you keeping both of them? Is the rounded bottom on the firebox for more ash capacity?

One is sold the other one is up for sale. The round bottom helps with the ash plus it is 1/2" thick so it want burn out plus there is a grate in the firebox too.

very nice looking product. i kind of figured the exhaust was big enough. just wasn't sure from the angle of the pic i guess.
now, about that paint, i am guessing you are using a sprayer for it as opposed to spray cans. is this true? also do you have a link or contact for the paint?

n2dabluebbq the paint is actualy rolled on. I use a 4" roller and put on 3 to 5 coats. This paint is strange as in it will be dull if there is not enough paint on the steel. Once it shines when it dryes your done. You can buy the paint at Lowe's it is in the same shelf as the spray paint. Do not buy the same paint in spray cans it does not work at all.
