Can you use a crock pot for comp beans?

I believe you can use whatever you want for beans.

I think most comps say no electricity to cook I can be wrong.

I used a crockpot at home for years and always cooked small red beans. People loved them, but when I started comp cooking I switched to pintos and I use a pot and gas burner on my stove.

I hit regularly with beans, but man nothing beats a crockpot cooker full beans it's much easier to manage. Just now I have grown partial to my pot, lol. 8)

I've never tried them in a crock pot, always done over gas. I may have to give that a try.

Found that one on the clearance isle at wally world for around $40.00, now if ya wanta try it at De Leon, I'll use the DO.

IBCA doesnt care how you cook the beans, they are just a jackpot category. Other organizations or promoters may differ.
