We need your prayers and support for OSD (Jim)

Postby Gator » Tue Sep 07, 2010 12:25 pm

Folks -

I wanted to let everyone know that Jim suffered a major heart attack last week. Without going into a lot of detail - we are all VERY fortunate to still have Jim with us. He went through emergency surgery to have stints put in, he is home, in relative good shape - but tired and sore. He needs to take it easy + prepare for open heart surgery in the coming weeks/months. He shared with me that God never gives you more than you can endure and he is positive and in good spirits about his outlook.

To add stress to the situation, Jim's wife had major heart surgery last week. YES. both were in the hospital at the same time (different hospitals) for heart issues. As you can imagine, they are both dealing with their own health + worried about each other at the same time. It is a troubling scenario.

Jim helped many of us over the years -> this board would not be the same without him. Many will ask, "what can I do?"

- We sent flowers to his wife on behalf of the entire TBBQF today to show our love and concern for the family. No need to send $, everything here is taken care of already, thanks.

- Please pray for Jim and his wife.

- Post up here OR send a private note to "OSD" with your thoughts and support.

Our hearts go out to you Jim, we are praying for healing, peace and strength during this time. We are very thankful that both of you made it through a very tough situation and wish the best for your impending surgery. Please rest, relax and let us know if anything changes. We are GLAD to have you and appreciate everything you do here on the TBBQF!

Thanks again and take care (and take it easy too). 8)
