Hi, thought I would come in and help get things started. I have been Qing seriously for a few years now. I haven't done any competitions yet but I want too.

Hey Yall,

I'm cookin on a Stumps GF 223. I've had it for about 1 1/2 years now. Before that I had the electric Smokin Tex.

I've been cooking on 2 webers for years now. A couple of years ago I splurged on a gas smoker and have loved it. I've smoked salmon, sturgeon, steelhead, brisket, and ribs. Everything is smoking great except for the ribs. I can't wait to start hearing the experts share their techniques.

Congrats on the new board. :D

Welcome HOF! Where are you from? Let us know if you need help with those ribs. The first thing you need to do is take them off the gasser! :D

I absolutely need help with ribs. Start this ignoramoose from scratch.

I'm in East Texas. There's some of the best lip smacking rib joints known to mankind out here. I just haven't figured out their technique.

Let's star a thread on it on the barbecue section. Let us know what kind of cookers you have at your disposal and we can start from there.

HOF - If you be talking about the Country Tavern, they ARE the best ribs in East Texas, IMO. I would love to have a pound of those bad boys right now!
