I wanted to share the latest add on. I built a 4 x 8 pad for the pit yesterday. It has ground grant and slate rocks (left over from a pool). The pictures are not of it completed since it will take a few days of watering and standing on to get the grant to settle and become hard. BUT, I could not wait. Had to send some pics.
First pic
Picture of it completed just not totally cleaned and ready for pit

Looks nice Antaean...
I am putting up a fence and is is a very slow going project. I have the holes already dug and have bought a bunch of those 12X12 concrete stepping stones to cover the holes until I can get the posts set.
What I am doing is when a stepping stone becomes available, I am making an area that will be about 7X7 to put my CG on.
Wont be near as nice as yours though.

Thank you Nascar, but it sounds pretty nice so far. Mine, well thanks but looking at the pictures, looks a mess. hahahaha. But it should turn out pretty nice. Then I want a second so to speak slab so I can stand on it, instead of the grass. THEN, I want to build a BIG deck. BUT, I need to do this a step at a time. At least I started with was was important. THE PIT. Reminds me of a golf commercial that showed a guy with his own driving deck that will be in the back yard. BUT, the house has not even been started. HUM, maybe you should see the commercial it is pretty funny.

Steercrazy, that is next on the list ( a prep table) I am thinking it will go to the left, so it will not be close to the fire box. My plans are to add another pad to stand on, I am thinking a cresnt (sp) moon shape infront of the pit. so it will be close to the corner of the "to be" deck which you can see the corner of in the left bottom of picture. Going to add a Herb garden behind pit, in the pic you can see a few potted plants, garden goes there. This is a Blast, BUT it is pulling me away from finishing the hardwood floors in the house. A man has to have priorities! Right?
