Don't tell this to anybody, but:
I hadn't seen this post so I bought this on holiday this summer. The most idiotic thing I've ever bought. Big and heavy filling up half my bag on the flight home, both in volume and weight.I love gadgets (probably why I bought it) this is completely useless.

Don’t you love those “why in the heck did I buy this” purchased?!

Re: Which cleaning brush?
BBQGuys recommended a Grill Dozer "steaming" scraper and brush. The one they offer is like $15, and their rep said they use it all the time.

Anyways, I bought one, but haven't used it yet. Obviously, I'll try it, but I'm wondering if I should go back to traditional stainless steel only brushes? I've always liked super sturdy ones...like the higher quality Weber one.

I go to Harbor freight and by their cheap wire brushes and use them. But I make sure no wire bristles are left on the grate. My grates are removable and I clean both sides.
