Just curious if the big green egg chiminea would be useful for burning wood down to coals for use in smoker. I would just use a drum but the wife wants something a little more decorative on the patio.
Thanks
Anyone use Chiminea for burning wood down to coals?

I haven't but see no reason why it would not work. I have one and have never built a fire in it. Gotta give it a try. CF
OK, get over it, you lost. God bless America

If the chiminea was a big green egg it should have been warrantied for life. Did they replace it?

When I set the cinder-block pit up, I use a 55 gallon drum with a hole cut out of the bottom front. Yup, the drum is ugly but so is the cinder-block pit. Lipstick on a pig thing.
