MANY thanks for OX190 for helping me build my smokers.
One is mine and one is for my brother for Christmas. I'll keep the better of the two.
I smoked a small rack of beef rids and a brisket tip last night. It was better than what I have done on the New Braunfel I "had" used for years.
Over all.....I'm more than pleased. I still need a thermostat though. Any help would be great.
Thanks nascarchuck for help as well! If it wasn't for you....I wouldn't be cooking killer food.
Many thanks for the help with my drum smoker......

Great job on the UDS's. those drums and firegrates sure do look familiar. Cant wait to see some food rolling off that grill.

Glad that you finally got er done! Looks real good too! I'm glad that I could help even though I wasnt alot of help.
Now lets see some pics! And remember, I hear that beef and pork do well in a smoker, not just chicken!
Now we just got to get you to using some Sucklebusters!

Where can I find the lid hangers? I didnt see them at Lowes or HD.
More exhausts? I do have the plugs for the current exhaust.
What about a tray?
Anything else?

As far as the lid hanger, just get a conduit clamp (pic below) and bend it. I mounted Bristows on the same bolt as the handle is on. Worked great. Home Depot/Lowes should have em...
As far as the exhaust, are you having any problems with the temps? If not, leave it the way it is. Although I dont think that you will need to choke or plug the exhaust with only 4 exhausts...
