I would like to build a larger uds that would accommodate a full size aluminum pan. I recently bought an 85 gal. drum from a local dealer in Conroe TX. The grates are available I've been told from Weber. That is easy.. The problem is what size should the exhaust be? I plane on 1" inlets (3 ea.) with an elbow so I can add my upright pipe for my ball valves. Not sure if 1" is the correct size for the inlets. Has anyone built one this size that works?

I have one that has a 26'' weber lid on it. The barrel has 2 1.5'' ball valve intakes, cooks real good!!

Thanks Big Ed for the info. So 3-1"ea. inlets. What size should I make the exhaust?
