Burn time
On a USD how much charcoal do you use and how long does it last. Can you ad fuel during the cook? Thinking of buying an old smokey while I buildy offset. Input please.

Most UDS's with a proper sized basket will run 15-20 hours if it is built correctly and airflow is set right.

My basket will hold one 16 pound bag of Kingsford. Natural draft I can burn for around 22 hours before the temp dips below 275. This is during warmer months.
