Drums

If I do a good hot burn out, does it matter if the drum had any type of hydraulic or motor oil in it?

My drum was a hydraulic oil barrel, in it's previous life. I did a really good burnout on it, and it's fine.

That's what I have read and thought, but just wanted to make sure. Finally found a drum, but not a 55 gallon. But it will be a good "first UDS" build. Looking forward to it. Might not even need to build a bigger one.

The only reason to burn out a drum is to aid in the removal of an Epoxy liner. If its' not lined scrub it out with some Dawn dish soap and hot water and build it.
