UDS lid questions - 8 holes or one 2" hole?

Postby bholtzinger » Sat Oct 23, 2010 7:53 pm

It looks like I have everything ready to go on my new UDS except the lid. Do you guys prefer eight 1/2" holes or one 2" hole?
My lid did not come with a 2" hole, but I think I would rather just drill a 2" hole and use a pvc pipe. I think it would be easier to put the fire out covering one hole instead of 8. I am going to finish this up tomorrow. What do you guys think?

I myself prefer the one single hole, easier to cover, a pound coffee can works wonder on mine to cover the stack.
