uds built today.

Postby ehyates » Sun Sep 26, 2010 2:05 pm

Well today I decided to make a UDS, I went and bought a little pit and used the parts. I am going to see if I can put some pictures on here. Let me know what you think.

the finished uds with out the lid, and with the lid. Right now it is holding 220 degrees. I had to cut the top rounded edge of the drum off so that the lid of the little pit would fit. and it fit perfect. Man I don't know what we did before we had plasma cutters, 5 seconds and it looks like it was sheared off. one less project...

lol, :D , well I had to cause I have been working on the chevelle on it's side, and didn't know how to do it any different. I didn't have any thing thawed out so my wife was making meatloaf, and I decided to have smoked loaf. It was pretty good. A little too smoky.

Never tried smoked meatloaf, but grilling it is one of my favorites.

Congratulations on the unveiling of the "Worlds First Horizontal UDS" I got a question, How do you keep the meat on the racks???
Never met a cow I didn't like with a little salt and pepper.

I put the middle grate to set a water pan if I wanted to. Just in case.
