So I apparently have a new project. I work for a long-term care organization and one of our sites had this pig cooker sitting for 15 years in their garage. They wanted to know if we (IT Dept) wanted it. Of course I said yes! Now, we do cooking comps, particularly BBQ comps, so this fits right in.

When I got to it, the tires were flat, the lights need re-wiring, and the "stack" is a joke. Well, the tires aired up and have held air for over a week. I cleaned it out and it is in amaxing shape for sitting for so long. The last registration was in 2003 so it hasn't seen the road since then.

I need to get some new expanded metal for a grate, our site engineer will be welding on a real stack and we may even add a side firebox to have it also be able to smoke. Of course a good paint job will also help...

I agree and those small radius tires really make lots of revolutions at Hwy Speeds - - -

What OUP said, at 55 mph, those small wheels are likely moving at close to 90 MPH
There are lots of others on here much more qualified to comment on a fire box and stack, however me being the open mouth and insert foot that I am....

Well, as usual, life happens. I haven't had a chance to do anything with this as my wife went in the hospital on May 14 and just got out Monday.

I'll be back to work Monday and hopefully we will be able to put in some time on this thing. The wheels won't be hitting the road at all because it lives in the garage at our business office and that is where it will be used. No comps, except within our IT Department.

Hope your Wife is doing OK now - - - - those moments can be tuff and I pray things are better for Y'all !
