my new stainless fold-up charcoal chimney

Postby CaptJack » Mon May 23, 2016 5:18 pm

my new stainless fold-up charcoal chimney
& my old aluminum CharBroil portable grill
the old grill was a portable propane grill back in the 70s
about 20 years ago i took the burner out of it
and started using it with charcoal, as our camping grill
one thing i've always liked about the grill are the fold-up legs
and that i can store most of my grill stuff inside it when I pack it in the car
and now.... i can store the charcoal chimney inside of it

here's the link for the fold-up charcoal chimney >

that's at the BlueHole in Wimberley, when it was still family owned and we could camp down by the water.
the state owns it now and it's only open during the day for swimming and picnicing

..and Little Arkansas is gone now too
the heirs got in a fight over the property and the lawyers ended up with it
then subdivided it into rich folks fancy river properties

That chimney is pretty slick.

We love the Blue Hole. Wish I had known about it when you could camp there. Our first trip was the year before the "upgrades" my family and I had the water all to ourselves for about 30 minutes. Felt like heaven on earth.

Back in the day we would take our boys and camp out in the beautiful Hill Country, tube, cook and enjoy watching the abundant wildlife there. dang that water was cold :laughing7:
