I am new to this forum but have a big question. I am looking for a top quality charcoal grill. I would like something rectangular. I have a nice smoker Meadow Creek BX50 so this is about grilling. I would like to be able to adjust the high of the coals as well. I did see the M Grills B2 and thought it was cool but I’m new to charcoal grills. Love some recommendations. I’m sorry but I have to admit I’ve been on propane for 47 years. (Feels good to get that off my chest). Thanks for listening. Thanks Hey

Picture is worth a thousand words, eh Capt'n, I'll garoontee you when my ECB lays down it's Old Smokey for me next time. I have a Kingsford Kettle like the Weber that I absolutely hate to use. Plus I've seen many of your results and that's proof enuff.

And on top of everything else, they're a good deal more affordable than the Weber?
I have to admit, I'm a little concerned about how well it'd hold up long term, being bare metal, but I *may* have just found a replacement for that dang Char Broil weed burner masquerading as a gas grill...

Re: Needing a Good Charcoal Grill
OldSmokeys are "aluminized"
but you shouldn't leave them out in the rain
I use a cover for a 22"Weber and a plastic can lid on top of that
my current OS is 8 years old
i clean out the ashes and clean the grill the next day after ever cook
then cover it

18 years old is pretty impressive shelf life, esp with just common sense basic prevention taken to preserve it. :)
