PK Grill

Hello friends,

I´ve got the opportunity to get a pk grill:

for a quite good price.

Does anybody know this grill or does anybody own one ?
How are you satisfied with it ? Especially when it comes to low & slow jobs.
What´s the general profit of the grill ?

I love to cook with eggs, but the are not very handy, and a bit heavy for camping, transporting...
Is this perhaps an alternative solution ?

I have one that has been in the family for 40 years. It is durable. Its a good small grill, too small for low-n-slow in my opinion.

Simon, we had a grill much like that one many years ago. I can say the aluminum part out lasted all other parts, even the stand. I think the only thing we ever cooked on it was burgers and chicken. CF

They've been around for many years. I hadn't seen one for years til the other day. The BGE dealer by me started selling them. They look well made and being cast aluminum should last for years. They seemed ( to me ) to be a bit on the small side for smoking or indirect grilling, but would be great for most other grilling. They do have some nice accessories too.
A bit pricey at $280.00. I think for a grill to take camping and such, I would rather buy a 22.5" Weber OTG kettle at less than 1/2 the price of the PK.

This is the grill I grew up with. I took my parents old PK to college in the mid 80's with me and it cooks great. You can also do some indirect with this unit as well. I finally rusted it out. Have fun with that one and it will grill your steaks great !
