First Cook on Traeger

I did my first cook on the Traeger today, I put a T bone on and for grins I did it low and slow. It came out very tender but I should have pulled it off at about 138° instead of 145°.

It was a simple salt and pepper for seasoning and about 3 hours of time.

It was more or less a experiment for me to just see how it worked and I did learn from it. ;)

Great way to start! If you want to keep pushing the edge, take it off around 125, and give it a quick sear (AKA reverse sear). Then you get the best of both worlds.

Thanks astrohip, I have one more steak in the fridge that I will probably cook up tomorrow and give that a try
