Hopefully, our OP has bought his smoker by now. But, to add to this for future readers, I've had my RT700 RecTeq for over a year now and I will say that the RT700 build quality is so much better than the Traegers that it is worth the price difference on that alone. The entire drum and all internal components are stainless steel on the RecTeq. The fit and finish quality of the parts of the RecTeq is clearly superior to the Traeger. To give a little perspective, I spent the first half of my working career in manufacturing and quality assurance.
I'll also put in another vote for the RecTeq customer service. When I called about a failed start up issue I experienced, they immediately sent a new controller and igniter. Later I found a loose connector and fixed it. I called back and related the experience and they said to keep the parts for spares. No charge.
I don't doubt there are better pellet grills on the market, but I doubt they can match the value/quality in this price space.
