Choice Made

Postby RSOPNCO1 » Mon Mar 30, 2020 8:30 pm

After about 2 weeks of brain screwing the pellet smoker, I’ve made the decision. Going with this one:

Wish me luck.

Well, I’ve had it for a few weeks now. After multiple GFCI trips, fault isolated to the extension cord being used. Replace cord and it’s been rolling fairly well. Haven’t done large cook on it yet; only smaller steaks, hips and spatchcock chicken. So far so good. I do have a different opinion about the smoke setting everyone’s raving about. Steaks in smoke for rever sear tasted off, dirty smoke. Next attempt was country style ribs, went with 225° then finished on the fire. That’s where the money was. Pellets are B&B Pecan.

All BBQ cooked in smoker should have a smoke flavor, what is the issue?

BTW I had a O.H. SSE...
