Hej Pit boss 700 D friends, since my Smooker has no chimney, only the holes on the back. I would like to know, has anyone remodeled and how? And has it proven to be an advantage over the old version?

I have a Pit Boss 340 and it also has the holes, however, I can't see that a Stack would benefit "ME" in any way because the temps and taste are satisfactory. As my Dad used to preach to me "If it works don't fix it" :laughing7:

I did, however, build an extra shelf that enables me to cook an extra rack of Ribs or a little more meat, since the 340 is smaller than the 700. I've only used it once and it worked just fine.

Parts: are those bolts galvanized? Isn't that an issue or isn't the temperatures high enough here?

Good point, Joe, I never even thought about that. I'll pick up some non-plated bolts and replace these. :salut:

Hello smoker friends, at the moment we are experiencing a crazy world, disturbed by a tiny virus.
Nevertheless, my wife and I decided for us to make the best of it and not to panic, so when the weather was nice there was +13, Porchetta from the Pit Boss .5 hours at 125 degrees, (+/- 6 degrees) was juicy and delicate. Even if we are far away from the action here in the country, hope you all stay well and your family too.

Greetings to Texas, Andy the old Swede

Did you buy the pit boss in Sweden? I don't know where in Sweden you're situated, but do you know if they are close to the Norwegian border? Close Oslo?

They're not sold in Norway.

Can I ask how much in swedish kroner it was?

Hello, my Texas Smoker friends, now I have the pit boss for a few months. I am very happy with it, brisket in 6.5 hours and recently there was Picanha Chimichurri, only we had to chew the bread, the meat literally crumbled. The only thing that is not so good to get here in Sweden are pieces of meat the size you can buy, so I have to take several small pieces, but it works, too. My wife is also enthusiastic. You can now also buy Pit Boss, different models, but very expensive here in Sweden (Pit Boss Austin XL approx. 1000 euros) there are only a few providers.
Greetings to Texas from old Sweden and stay healthy !!! :salut:
