Weber pellet smoker

Postby Norway Joe » Mon Nov 18, 2019 3:55 pm

Seems that there will be another option among pellet smokers. This time from Weber.

That's my thought, too. Pretty expensive.

We'll see if it lives up to it's promises.
Weber does make good stuff and I like what I see however nothing claimed id unique there are others units available with the same or similar features.

As for the price there are certainly more expensive units out there too.

I've always liked the quality of build on Weber products. These should be great. But I have to agree with the comments about the pricing. At $1200, they put it toe to toe with Rectec's Bull. But then, most of the people will never see a Rectec, since they don't do retail. Weber's marketing strategy is primarily brick and mortar retailers They've also jumped into online thru Amazon. But, I'll bet more people buy grills when they actually see them in a retailer.

I’ve got a Weber Performer and Genesis and a custom stick burner but will probably get one of these as well. Just another tool to add to the coking toolbox.

ditto the "webber makes good stuff" I have genesis, gasser, kettle. No real complaints about either of them. My whole problem is two other pellet munchers, a pizza oven and an electric under one patio...
I thinks I needs a bigger patio...

LoL. Looking out at my patio, I see an offset , 2 kegs, a gasser, a brand spanking new Rectec Bull, and a 2Stone pizza oven.

Saw one at the local Lowes this weekend. Not as impressive construction as I would have guessed. It has a loosely fitted double sidewall, but not double walled on the barrel section. Very small hopper. Frankly, at about $1k, it doesn't come close to a Rectec Bull for $1200.
