New, or just new to me?
Anyway pretty neat looking rig.
Did not get a picture but there's a retractable/adjustable heat deflector inside the main left chamber to adjust/direct smoke/heat to the box.
Just realized these are only available at Costco.

Not new to you only. Saw it in the local Costco here in CA too.

Maybe the Traeger reps got sick of me being there when the road show came to town and telling everybody my bad experiences and how their website FAQ page says warpage and peeling paint is normal.

Rec Tec really should be payin' me sales commission at this point, LOL

I also looked at these at our local Costco.
Ive been trying to figure out the placement of the smoker box and the exhaust pipe feeding it.
I always thought that heat and smoke rises. :dont:

Oh well...... I'm sure that a lot more smarter folks then me engineered and tested it. :salut:

Bill

IIRC (I think I do but don't quote me, LOL), that's a cold smoker box on the right hand side. Left side is the hopper for the pellet pooper and the center is the normal cookin part like a Traeger or Rec Tec

My guess is that the convection fan pushes the heat into the box.
The variable slider "tube" runs all the way across the bottom from the fire chamber to the "exhaust" pipe, so you can moderate the amount of hot air/smoke getting pushed into the box.
The pictures on the sales literature show meat/s with great bark cooking in the box FWIW.
I really liked the way it looked in person, but will have to just look for now.

I just purchased the louisiana grills Lg1100 from Costco for $400, very nice grill for the price.
The one posted on here with the side box is a cold smoker & warmer, you can do cheese & keep food warm.

Yep, just like I'd said.  I went back a week or so and verified also. Thanks for the confirmation though. :salut:

Welcome to the forums and hope you enjoy the new grill also. There are some really friendly, knowledgeable folks here that can help with that second part. ;)

Although smoke usually rises, when yo have enough of it, it banks down like a house fire. The cold box is for smoked cheeses, fish, meats and other things you want a lower temp on it. I had the Traeger version and it made great bacon, cheeses and fish for sure.
