All geared up and ready to cook!

Postby Chasdev » Thu Jul 27, 2017 9:18 am

My wife hopes they don't offer any more add-on's for my new CampChef.. I think I got them all.
I decided to seal the door (as much as possible), there were large gaps everywhere and it got worse when I added the add-on external shelf.
Went with sealing the body of the cooker instead of the lid itself as the top ledge does not overlap but is a butt-joint, I think rolling the felt over the edge gets it done..

That's a heat insulating blanket with magnets to attach, sold by and for CampChef model I own.
The cover is also sold by them and fits my cooker, as is and does the front shelving.

Well, it is brand new..but the cover does help.
I live in a really dusty area and anything uncovered gets dusted bad in a week.
The inside will not look that way for very long, this Sunday I got four beef plate rib racks going down...

I'm leaving the heat blanket in place for this weekends cook, it's supposed to be 105 out so this should be interesting...
I hope the pellet spiter brain does not get too confused, with felt tape and heat blanket it should reach and hold temp rather early pellet spiting wise..
