Just picked up a bag of Traeger pellets at Costco and was surprised to learn from reading the bag that all pellets need to be stored in an air conditioned environment even in the unopened bags..
Anybody do that?

Definietly NO AC on mine. I keep them in some old coolers in the shop and when I open a bag I put the pellets in some large plastic jugs that my step-son brought me from his work place. They are always in the Coolers opened or not and I've never had a problem. :dont:

Not in the a/c but defended from humidity for sure then...
Dang, I thought my wood storage problems were over with pellets..but better than mice, rats and wood roaches..
Now to find some tight sealing jugs or somesuch..

I keep mine in bins in the garage any unopened are stacked out there to. The bins are probably made for dog food etc. and would likely hold 80 lb.
Three bins labeled "Oak", Hickory" and "Something Else".
No problems at all.
