Hey guys,
I just finished putting together my new Trager Jr BBQ 155.
I've yet to smoke anything until this weekend. But I have a question about how the grate fits, for those that might have this model.
I feel like it's very loose. It slides from side to side. I really feel like I'm missing something that would keep it in place.
Please see picture. You can see where I can put 2 fingers on one side. The grate will easily slide back and forth.
Is this normal.
Please let me know if I'm missing something that would better hold it.
Cant wait to start smoking it up!!!!

Re: Question about new Traeger Jr smoker
First welcome to the forum and congrats on your new pit, you're in for some good eats.
Now about the loose grill, it's probably OK but if you call the Traeger help line they will give you a definitive explanation.
I have had a Traeger for 15 years but it is a Texas 075 good machine.

on second thought if the grill were larger would you be able to get it in and out of the smoker? just a thought

Re: Question about new Traeger Jr smoker
Thanks for the replies guys.
Spacetrucker you might be right. Might not be able to get it in if it was perfect size.
Once I put meat on there, the weight seems to keep it in place. It is a bit annoying when I'm cleaning it though. Moves around too much. But I can deal with that.
Thanks again!

Re: Question about new Traeger Jr smoker
I usually warm up the smoker, then hit the grills with the wire brush to clean them, once they are warm they clean easily. Every so often I take em and soak them in a container to completely clean them, when they get to the point the wire brush doesn't work.
