Gonna be joining the ceramic ranks

Postby bowhnter » Sun Nov 30, 2008 7:14 am

I had been looking and looking for a ceramic cooker on Craigs list for a good while now, missed a few opportunities along the way.

Well, there is a fireplace shop that is a Weber and Primo dealer that opened up in town here a few months ago.
I had stopped in a few times, eyeballing that XL Primo, and trying to get him to start carrying several rubs, etc.

With Christmas coming, and this being a Mr Bean Christmas this year (we're buying our own) I had been working on a deal for a Grill Dome.

Anyway, I get an email with a deal I couldn't pass up on the Primo XL Oval.

I will go pick it up sometime this week, and now will have to sell everything in my signature help pay for it and make some room. The table that it comes with is huge 8)

Now I just need to learn how to cook on it 8)

Congrats on the new cooker. You'll love the versatility from low&slow up to 650* and every temp range in between.

You'll notice straight away that your fuel costs will drop like a rock 8) Note, make sure that you calibrate the thermometer. The last one I bought for Roma was off by 45*

I sure do like it so far. I need to get it in the table though

Well, it was a sad day, the WSM and Drum are sold, the performer is going to my daughter and SILs where I can keep an eye on it.

Still don't know what I am doing with the WSM on the way yet, most likely sell it too.

As nice as the clay pots are, and I know your going to really enjoy your new one, I'm gonna bet that as some point down the road, you're gonna regret unloading the WSM... :D

Which one to you have on the way?

I have to agree, there's going to be times you'll be needing the extra room. :D Or want to be grilling while something is smoking. :D

Did you order the new 22.5" WSM ??
