BGE vs Backwoods

Postby Speed » Mon Jun 20, 2011 12:31 pm

I have been kicking around the idea of buying another cooker. I'm having a hard time deciding on if I should get a backwoods smoker or a BGE. I would love to hear yalls opinions on both of these cookers. I am trying to eliminate using the UDS for my chicken. The last two comps I have used it and wound up with ash all over my chicken. I kind of like the backwoods because I can do ribs on it as well. I really like the pitmaker vault but I can't justify spending that much on another cooker right now..... What would you buy and why?

IMHO, For comp chicken I would buy the Backwoods Chubby, but for all around versitility I would buy the BGE or primo, you can cook comp chicken plus the best steak cooker that there is...so my vote is for the BGE

The chubby is the one I was looking at.... I like the fact you can take the water pan out and grill on it if you wanted too.
