Hey Frank, where is that picture you had with the ribs about to break in half being held by the tongs? That's what I need to show him

it may test your patience a little but in a few months with your good coaching he will be cooking well and you can go eat with pleasure there....
My son in law is still in the he doesn't know stage, first he has to learn that he does not know how to cook, then we will go through the learning stages
but my daughter direct as she is will have him knowing before long.. :laughing7: :laughing7:

After no less than 20 text messages and 5 phone calls here they are: he said they were delicious. I wouldn't let him pull them until they bent when he picked them up with the tongs

it is too big, needs a reduction (like my middle)
Those ribs look so very good; we at a neighbors house last night he was cooking on a professional trailer to say the least the ribs were blackened in the foil and the brisket in my narrow minded opinion came out of the foil ruined. The alcohol was flowing freely (none for me cause I am on call) the meat was no good, the wife was unhappy; we wished the young lady "happy 21st bday" and came home, so count your blessings you have some one paying attention to your instruction.

Rustoleum making 2000 degree black cooker paint these days. I have picked up rattle cans of the stuff at Home Despot and the other box stores. There's also a 2000 clear sealer out there that I bought to cover and protect the black; made by VHT; its called Flame proof and also comes in colors. Make for custom exhaust manifolds.

Bobby: "No."
Hank: "Well, there's really no wrong way to do it."
