First offset cooker, upgraded from WSM.

Postby antinho » Wed Aug 15, 2018 6:09 am

Hi all!

Quite new here on the forum. Recently upgraded my WSM to a offset cooker. I live in Sweden and the options around here are not great. Its either a imported, overpriced Yoder wichita/kingman or the german brand Rumo with their "Joe´s BBQ smoker". I went with the Rumo 20'' championship longhorn and because it was used i got a really good price. A fun fact is that back in the day Rumo got the license to produce the original Oklahoma Joe´s with 3/4'' steel, fully welded and what not, and still kickin it. This smoker is a bit longer than usual 20'' cookers so the stack is huge and gives a great draft. Did my first cook a while back and put som chicken and ribs on with a mix of oak and cherry wood. I have not used it since because we got a country wide fire ban due to drought. Soon i will start cookin on a regular basis!

Just wanted to say hi and share some pics of my pit and my first cook!

I may have missplaced this topic - Probably should be placed in (BBQ Pits - Offset and Vertical Smokers) Moderators feel free to move it :)

Welcome to the Madness, That's a nice looking cooker and step up. I have a few cookers but my offset is my favorite.
