New to this forum... what's up everybody?
Going to throw some Lavalock gaskets on my pit and I'm seeing a couple different applications. In my logic, I'd install the gaskets on the doors and not chamber and box surfaces. Logic is put the sticky on the side with the least amount of direct heat. But I've seen these things both ways, just haven't seen enough to determine long/short term results.
Any thoughts?
I've also seen people use the same roll on both the chamber and the box. Shouldn't the higher temp gasket be used on the box? Anybody going either way?
Thanks for the input.

Re: Gasket Placement
I don't put any on the firebox, but I did on the door. Door side, not chamber side.
