Was at my local Wal-Mart last week and came across the Oklahoma Joe Bandera. I don't know if this is an entirely new model, or just a new product carried at wally world. Anyone have any insight on it? Somebody who knows somebody that has or has used one? Please let me know, because an up close and personal look at thisw beauty has put it in my crosshairs..

I remember seeing them at Academy until they switched over to Old Country. Never used one though.

So the Bandera has been around a while then? Old Country has been at Academy for a while now. I have seen the Highland and Longhorn from OK Joe, and own a Highland, just never seen the vertical.

I think it's one of their original styles. Based merely on observation, it seems they do runs. They'll make a bunch, then they go away for a bit. Then they come back. Could just be the demand down here though.

Re: OK Joe Bandera
Yes I saw them there also I used to have one many years ago for some reason they stopped making them. When I found out they now have them I ordered one last week they are awesome and the new models are improved they have the a damper on it now that I had to add back then. I ordered mine to be shipped so I could put it together myself. you will need to put a gasket on the door and firebox because there is some leakage. it takes some additions but when done they are great smokers.
