WSM vs Off set Smoker

Postby chaostheory » Sun Jun 02, 2013 8:38 am

Hey Guys,

I’m new here so I don’t know if the topic has been covered, if so please refer me. I’m looking to be either a WSM of an Off Set Smoker. I was hoping to get some pros and con on both of them and if you guys know of a good off set smoker in or around the same price range as the WSM. As of now I like the WSM because I can hook up the guru to it...

Thanks for the help fellas,

You anit gonna be able to purchase any offset for the price of a WSM......a small beginner offset..like Oklahoma joe is around $600+.....for the money a WSM would be the best buy in that price range...
R&O Custom Offset....It rocks!!!!

Pretty much it right there! If money is the deciding factor, get the WSM for sure. Any offset for the same price of a WSM will be crap

I would build a UDS ,Its half the cost and you can cook twice as long!!! The WSM is a fine cooker though!!
