Looking for information on this pit

Postby jessy1755 » Sat Apr 28, 2012 11:11 pm

I bought this from an estate. it was built like a house, had a roof on it. I mounted it to the trailer and added the smoke stack. I am wondering if anyone has seen one like it or knows who made it? Thanks

I'll hazard a guess. It looks like a Southern Pride. Heated by gas with a door to stick a log in from time to time for "smoke". It should have a plate on it somewhere with the model number and "NSF Approved" if I'm correct.

Any controls ?
Gas, gas and wood, wood only?
Rotisserie?
Looks like maybe a Southern Pride or Old Hickory.

So sorry! guess I should have included all that. It is wood. Has a fire box and turns like a rotisserie. I have looked for a mfg. label all over with no luck. Thanks for the help so far.

I don't think its a SP then. To my knowledge they're all gas fired. Papa may be onto something with Ole Hickory.
